I started eating the coffee beans covered in chocolate and when I realised that I preferred the coffee bean bit to the chocolate coating, I bought a bag of roasted coffee beans and started eating them.

Haven't had any negative effects yet and it's been a few weeks. Apparently they discolour your teeth over time but the same is true of drinking coffee.

I only have a handful or so per day and they make a delicious treat, not to mention the caffeine hit ;) I prefer eating the beans to drinking them.

Very interesting article. Thanks.

Hi, just a thought from a 50 year old male adult with attention deficit disorder. I have been fed amphetamines by every doctor I have ever visited since the age of ten. The results have been a calming and focused live style (the positive) and a dangerous out of control gnawing addiction to amphetamines (the negative). Eating roasted coffee beans provides very many positives for me, without any real negatives. Take it from an unwilling amphetamine slave, the addictive nature of roasted coffee beans does not even come close to being addictive. Believe me when I tell you that REAL addiction is a living hell. Eat your coffee beans and don't worry.
